Kansanshi Dynamos have continued their preparations for the 2026 MTN Super League Transitional season by completing the signings of experienced duo Musonda Kapembwa and Christopher Muhango.
The Solwezi-based club confirmed on Monday that forward Kapembwa has joined on an 18-month contract after leaving Power Dynamos, while central defender Muhango has signed a two-year deal following his departure from ZANACO.
The pair become Kansanshi Dynamos’ second and third additions of the transfer window after the earlier arrival of Mathews Tolopa, as the Fearless Mabanga Boys strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Club General Secretary Mweshi Mupeta said the club believes both players will bring valuable experience to the team.
“We are delighted to welcome Musonda and Christopher to Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club. They are two experienced players whose qualities align with the direction and ambitions of the Club. We are confident they will add value to the squad as we prepare for the 2026 Transitional Super League season, and we look forward to seeing them make a positive contribution.”
Kapembwa arrives after his spell with nine-time Zambian champions Power Dynamos and said the opportunity to represent Kansanshi Dynamos was one he could not take for granted.
“It’s a huge honour to join Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club. This is a club with a rich history and passionate supporters, and I don’t take this opportunity lightly. I know success comes through hard work, and every time I step onto the pitch, the supporters can expect me to give everything for this badge. Together, I believe we can achieve our goals this season.”
Muhango, who previously featured for ZANACO, also expressed his enthusiasm about beginning a new chapter in Solwezi.
“I’m delighted to join Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club. I look forward to getting to know the people here, settling into my new surroundings and getting to work. I appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to the supporters’ backing throughout the season.”
Kansanshi Dynamos are among the clubs reshaping their squads ahead of the transitional campaign, with the latest arrivals expected to strengthen both ends of the pitch as the club targets a competitive return when the new season gets underway.
