Zambian striker Lazarus Kambole believes things are falling into place now and he is hoping to start scoring soon for Amakhosi.
Kambole put in a good full shift for Gavin Hunt’s men where they beat Primeiro De Agosto 1-0 to qualify to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
“It is about believing in what I can do and it is starting to get onto the right track and hopefully I can score soon,” Kambole told Citizen.co.za
“I am happy with the results and that we have advanced. It wasn’t an easy game (Chiefs won 1-0 against Primeiro De Agosto in Angola on Tuesday to advance to the group stages). It wasn’t easy for the past few games but we fought and … it has given us confidence.”
The boy from Chililabombwe will be hoping to again make it into Hunt’s starting XI as they host Maritzburg United in a DSTV Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The glamour boys will square off against a team being coached by their former boss Ernst Middendorp the man who brought Lazarus Kambole to Naturena.
“They are coming off a win, they will be motivated and sit and try to see what we can do. It’s not going to be easy, but we just have to … win,” he said.
“Business is business, we’ll talk after the game,” he added.
With just one win, four defeats, and three draws, Amakhosi are 13th on the standings with just two points between them and the Team of Choice.
