KAMBOLE BENCHED FOR THE FIRST TIME

FT: Amazulu 0-2 Kaizer Chiefs

ABSA PSL|Kaizer Chiefs needed two late second-half goals from ‘super-sub’ Leonardo Castro and Khama Biliat to defeat Amazulu 2-0 away and climb to the summit of the 2019/20 South African ABSA Premier Soccer League, in the Tuesday midweek round 6 encounters.

Chipolopolo deadly forward Lazarous Kambole was made to watch from the bench, for the first time since signing Amakhosi in July.

Kambole has struggled to score in all competitions since the start of the 2019/20 season and has already attracted mixed reactions from Amakhosi fans.

Kaizer Chiefs and Salulani Phiri’s Polokwane City are now joint league table leaders with 13-points, but Amakhosi enjoy a better goal-difference after week 6 round of matches.

  1. Looks like Kaiser chiefs technical bench have run out of patience in kambole. I feel he’s played out of position. Let them make him a main striker and he will deliver

  2. Kambole was rushed to big team, should have started with the unknown team like Mwape Musonda did, who is not even a striker. Kambole is disciplined, he will start scoring.
But worse buy or sell was Muwowo, that is close to a saga.

    • Muwowo is young and still has time on his hands. Pirates are still building him towards a first team spot, just like SS are doing with Lungu, your sentiments are a bit mistimed. As for Kambole he came with a whole lot of expectation and he simply has not hit the ground running as expected. All the noise about his arrival put pressure on his shoulders and now with no goals he is playing under pressure and not freely.

  3. Kambole should not back down but instead he should rewind the clock and analyze his past games. It is not always easy to join a new team. It takes time for some players. Keep your head high and soldier on. Don’t give up, life like football has its ups and downs

Big up I am backing you to get things on truck, the goals you scored for Zesco were not a by chance nor a coincident. Look at Patson Daka and Fashion all of a sudden the dudes are scoring goals. Just be patient. Everything has time

Good timing by the coach to put on the bench, reason being to relieve off the enormous pressure that was placed on your shoulders, as a result of your performance at Zesco and the National Team

Big up man Buya kasha, Respect

  4. Usually its the second season that shows how good a striker really is.
First season the goals may fly in …then everyone studies the flaws and makes adjustments and the scoring rate drops.
LK is a class act with a good temperament
Once he settles, the goals will come.
    All the best LK!!!
