Kamanga urges Chipolopolo to produce a positive result against Botswana

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has urged the Chipolopolo Boys to deliver a positive result in the second leg of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) second leg qualifier match against Botswana this weekend in Lusaka.

Kamanga said that the nation’s expectations are high and that the team should work hard to grind out a result.

“The nation’s expectations are quite high. Since we will be playing at home, it is our hope that you will be able to deliver a result which will be positive,” Kamanga said.

The FAZ president was speaking when he welcomed the team at KKIA in Lusaka. He went on to say that he was happy that the team did not concede in the first leg played in Botswana last Friday stressing that it will give the team an opportunity to restrategize for the second leg.

“We are very happy that you came back with a draw,” Kamanga said, “ which obviously gives you a good starting point this weekend,” he added.

Kamanga has since encouraged the team to work hard in order to beat the Zebras. He said that FAZ will do everything to ensure that the team picks a positive result in Lusaka.

The Chipolopolo Boys played out to a goalless draw last Friday against the Zebras in Francistown, Botswana.
The two teams will meet this Saturday in Lusaka at the National Heroes Stadium for the second leg of the CHAN Qualification round.

The last time the two sides met in the CHAN qualifiers was in 2013, with Zambia winning two-nil in Lusaka after a one-all draw in Gaborone seven days earlier.
