Lusaka business Andrew Kamanga is the new Football Association of Zambia, FAZ President after beating Kalusha Bwalya.

  1. Once bitten 2ice shy!!, every thing has got its own time. no matter what, u can not force matters regardless of who u think u are, when God says yes, no man can say no, remember what ever u do in life, life shall give back, if u hate, haterage shall follow u & if u excises love, love shall follow u. Good things come to people who wait, remember “SILENCE is GOLDEN”.

  2. This is a blessing to Zambian Soccer. For once we can have sanity and humility in the running of the game.
So even after registering ‘new clubs’ to increase his votes Kalu still loses.
Zite,Eric Mwanza, Nkweto where are you, what are you going to do now?

  3. Congrats once again kamanga, no more one man show, when appointing a caoch let suitable candidates aply & conduct interviews

  4. time to hire a new expat coach we must advertise this week. time to call back desrving players who were not paying anything to kalu. best news of the week. the corrupt hav fallen. viva kamanga

  5. Congratulations Andrew Kamanga for giving us a new chapter at football house.in the same breadth , I also would like to thank Kalu for all he’s done but like the saying goes ‘nothing lasts forever ‘. Go well boss!

  6. Mmmmmmmmmm..woow..wow it last it has happened. Well, kamanga congratulations..i longed fo this news to give us fresh air and a new look at things in football, alot will change.countrymen & ladies wait to see good things unfoldinv before yo eyes fo mother zambia’s sake.wish u all the very best..Amen.

  7. Firstly i want to thank Great Kalu for all he has given Zambian football over his years as President! Long may he continue his positive input into the game locally! I have wished Kalu out a few times over the years but i like to think i have kept respect for his wider visions and wishes for the game. At this junction Kalu can be proud of allot of things he has done.

Times change and it was important football turned over a new leaf. I hope the Kamanga’s presidency brings an end to the bitter factions and political divides that has become the scene. Let this be an open FAZ, one that empowers people working in football, let all criticisms and positivity come together to be appreaciated in order to forge a stronger Zambian football.

My only demands at this stage is that this FAZ set out preparation for smoothly transporting and camping the national team as schedule and requirments demand. It took the previous admin awhile to get this right so hope this admin focus well and deliver strong logistics.

Further on, we will be looking at the local league, there needs to be a big technical/tactical imput into the way we teach/train football – Zambia’s own style is special and should guarded and valued but at the same time we must have a big input/influence brought into the country. Perhaps by partnering with countries/clubs such as the Spanish, Dutch or German. Then also funding of the national team and new coach. School(youth) football and womens.

    • Otherwise, congratulations to Kamanga on his election victory. No one can take away what Kalusha achieved. Mind you, the only way Kamanga will prove himself successful is by winning the AFCON at least twice more than Kalu. That is no an easy task.

  8. Wow! I didn’t see it coming! Congrats to Kamanga. Kalusha can be proud of his achievements at the helm of FAZ. Let’s see a new way of handling football issues now. Transparency and accountability must be the bedrock of the new administration. There’s no time to waste here – Congo has to fall.

  9. Congrats Mr kamanga.change wz inevitable considering the poor selection of coaches nd players,we football loving Zambians,we want to see an xpertriat coach takes up chipolopolo.Transparency is also Cardinal as U manage the affairs of football in the country.Go zed go.

  10. Well done kamanga I personally I wanted change but didn’t see a right candidate from 3 ba Kamanga its time see serious business in football house sTarting from the Coach to fans 1. Hiring of coaches. 2. Selecting of players should be based on current performance on club level and a player should playing regularly. 3.preparation for teams should be well organize.

  11. Kikikikijikiki….when God says yes! uncumbancy is useless….arrogancy like we see in our politics today ll kill some pipo with depression.Kalu boasted of a lot of projects….this,that,bla…bla….bla…Kamanga had nothing to point at. nothing abt expirience or what…in life jst bcoz u ve a privilage to serve doesn’t make u better than others.you cant blame others for lack of expirience and therefore they can rule..hell NO!!!! is it their fault that they dont ve expirience? any better offcourse came in unexpirienced and gained it after attempting an election and eventually winning.
Lets not be primitive to accommodate new ideas.u cant owez stick to what u ve tasted as the best…try out a variety of recieps.

yes its the same chicken(football) but we ve sharwama, kebabs, hungry lion, chicken elbow, grilled, deep fried, chicken carry and the infamous chicken roast.

you cant hate all and love one….they all taste differently and ideal at different moments and gatherings.

Nalelo lets learn that no human is supperbeing or a god indespensible than others.

.Kalu had all the connections, the machinery, the expirience and the incumbacy…but wait a minute! pipo will not eat (roads) oh! sorry! pipo will not eat arrongancy….pipo will never forever treat leaders as gods. CONGULATURATIONS MR KAMANGA.

as always said…..those who do not want CHANGE will be CHANGED by the CHANGE!

This is the much needed change we needed at Football House. We need sanity in Zambian football.
Now, let Kalusha concentrate on his job at corrupt CAF and FIFA.

  21. Congratulations to all the winners. I have a big appeal to all well meaning Zambian football fans. Let us not infest our wrong thoughts in these our leaders but pray that they let Jesus walk their ways and live their lives. Less than a day in office we are talking about all things. Making comparisons of peoples achievements. People can’t be the same. Each person is different and we don’t expect same achievements. Others are even going political in their comments, mwalapatisha abantu ( you’ll make them be hated) In sports we come together regardless of our political affiliation, religions, social status and main other things. Please wish them the best and allow them work freely.

  22. we must not rule out kalu completely ,he has helped Zambian football be where it is today.football is different from football. let us appreciate what others have contributed and wait to see what the new will bring to the table. kalusha brought afcon home we expect andrew to do better by bringing world cup home, the task his quiet huge for the new executive.kalusha led executive has left very high standards and must be on top of things to build on that record. football its about money and correct connection, one must be mobile is andrew read to withdraw from his business schedule. let’s wait and see. with all respect I wish andrew all the best and congrats,to kalu I say well done you are the man Zambian football history will never forget who knows you may bounce back just stay focused. congrats andrew

  23. It will not do for Kamanga to start chasing after Kalu, neglecting the game-which is the reason for his election. First sights should be on the games, but attention should be put on correcting whatever wrongs Kalu’s team could have committed. Continue with all the good programs, but work on the mistakes you ve been pointing at in the last 5 years!!!!Kamanga, iyo position siya anyoko, its for Zambians. Dont use it to settle your personal scores, you ll fail and be humbled when the owners take back their position, the way they have taken it awy from Great Kalu. Congratulations to your team!!To Kalu, all I can say, thank you for the service and wish you well in your future endevours. But advice to GK, avoid arrogant pipo like that ka Mwanza!!!!they dont add value to you. Oooh, by the way, Mwanza is an employee of FAZ-what happens????Has he fired himself already????

  24. At last corruption has been reduced at Football House, today sunday 20th March2016 please New executive meet to appoint auditors to FAZ business transactions for the past 6years,and clean the House and look forward to the current situation as at now the team is in Camp. Congratulation Mr.Kamanga for winning these elections 2016.

  25. well done mr kamanga my prayers gas been answerd football will improve, call charly musonda now good morning mr kamanga good luck

  26. Kalusha,Don’t worry football is for the public and Football House is a public institution, nobody was born at Football House, You are good at practical Football, Go to the people ,grassroot communities teach the Football country wide Become an active Football consultant-and carry on.

  27. I liked the philosophical orientation and vision of Kamanga through his manifesto during his campaign. I hope that can graduate into maturation. I have all the belief that things will change for the better. “Fresh air” at last! Lesson for Kalu: overstaying in power is not good. I wish he opted out so that his record remained glamorous. There is a time for everything. Advice to Kamanga: public interest should precede personal interest in public matters; transparency; and integrity. Congratulations and wish you God’s blessings

  28. congratulations Andrew and Kalu where somebody stops somebody else will start from there, you had you time and i think you did everything in your power to put ZED football where it is now, i like saying every thing fades with time, you may have lost a few strengths but you are still great Kalu. you can never be good at everything, so God chose you to come and lay a foundation for us and allow me to say it was a good one really, we have a good direction.
Andy (AK47), you have been accorded a chance to show what you have been fighting for, if you take people for granted let me say God watches and you will be put to shame before you even know it. for the love of Zedfootball remember to ask where you are not sure form them that have been in office and others that have the wisdom to help you.
VEEP Kazala, it will be a good combination with Andy< no in fights, put Zambia where it is supposed to be. Good luck and God bless you All
