Kalulushi Moderns Stars picked a vital 1 – 0 win away from against First Quantum Minerals to bounce back to the top of the log.
Kalulushi who were second at the start of the weekend took full advantage of a 1 – 0 loss by Lumwana Radiants at the hands of Indeni to go ahead on goal difference as the two teams remain locked on 42 points.
Lumwana were hoping to keep a hold on the leadership of the log which they took over on Wednesday but made a poor start against the ‘Oil men’ when they conceded in the third minute and failed to recover.

Watch out the red devil
With 4 games to go, Simwala was sidelined and replaced by Butler as coach for the remaining 4 league games, after a poor run by the devils and the team responded by beating Power 2–0 at their home ground in the last game of the season and snatched the title by a point. Simwala bounced back the following season and led Nkana to the 1986 title once again and though Nkana had done well in the league under Simwala, they had had a dismal run in cup competitions.
