Kabwe Warriors to use Levy Mwanawasa Stadium for CAF games

Kabwe based Zambia Super League outfit Kabwe Warriors will use Levy Mwanawasa Stadium for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, The ZamFoot Crew understands.

The Magnificent People’s team initially wanted to use Nkoloma Stadium for the Preliminary Round of the 2021/2022 TotalEnerqies CAF Interclubs Competitions but the Stadium did not pass the CAF stadium requirements compliance to host the CAF Interclubs matches of 2021/22.

“Yes, we will most likely use Levy Mwanawasa Stadium for the home games for the CAF Confederation Cup because Nkoloma the one we wanted to use, did not pass the CAF stadium requirements compliance to host the CAF Interclubs matches of 2021/22 during pre-inspection,” an inside source told the ZamFoot Crew.

“The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is the one that recommended that we secure Levy Mwanawasa Stadium for the games.”

Warriors were drawn against CFFA of Madagascar in 2021/22 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup first Preliminary Round.

The Magnificent People’s team will travel away to Madagascar in the first leg which takes place between 10 and 12 September 2021 while the second leg takes place between 17 and 19 September 2021.

The Winner of the tie will face the winners of the match between Mafunzo SC (Zanzibar) and GD Interclub (Angola).
