Kabwe Warriors fight back to beat NAPSA Stars…As Chabala targets the top four at midway

Magnificent, Kabwe Warriors come from behind for the first time this season to claim all three points beating the hosts NAPSA Stars 2-1 at the MTN Woodlands Stadium.

The win takes the Magnificent People’s team to sixth place moving into the ABSA cup places as the league moves closer to the midway point. A late Akakulubalwa Mwachiaba strike completed the come back for the kabwe outfit after Nester Narjis Arhab Natasha Lukupa canceled out Doisy Soko’s brilliant opener.

Kabwe Warriors head coach Chabala had nothing but praise for his boys for the hard-fought win away from home.

“It was a well-deserved win coming from behind its not easy and this season when we concede first we don’t come back now this time we have managed to come back and scored the winner it’s very important to us it means that the team is improving and that character is coming out from the players and this is the best result we have got so far this year, ” he said.

“Our substitutes did there part Twiza and Arhab who scored the first goal did there part and we know we had time, we also wanted to use the experience of AKA (Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba) and Jimmy [ Ndhlovu] and of course it has paid dividends and that is good for us.”

“Midway through the season we want to be in the top four slots so that we can play ABSA cup and today we have got to 21 points so we are somewhere near there,” he added.

Doisy Soko opened the scores four minutes into the match but Nester Lukupa leveled matters just before halftime while Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba came from the bench to grab the winner at the death of the second stanza.
