A first half goal from defender Dominic Chanda was enough to give Kabwe Warriors a 1-0 win over Champions Red Arrows in a rescheduled week 4 encounter.
The game saw Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe come up against his mentor George Lwandamina at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu.
Dominic Chanda headed on a Ocean Mushure corner to hand the Magnificent People’s team a one nil win.
Kabwe Warriors coach George Lwandamina described the win as an important one.
“It was anticipated that it will be a very tough match and Arrows are playing well. They have a good team but we just came to the party and tried to frustrate them. Today’s victory was very important because we had to win,” Lwandamina said.
Next game for Kabwe Warriors is a trip to Town rivals Prison Leopards while the Champions will host Solwezi based side Kansanshi Dynamos.
