Kenyan striker Jesse Jackson Were has returned to ZESCO United three years after leaving the club.
Were has penned a one year deal with Team ya Ziko, joining the club as a free agent after leaving Kansanshi Dynamos.
The nine time Champions took to Facebook to confirm the return of their East African Legend.

Jesse Were has re-joined the nine-time Zambia Premier League Champions as part of their reinforcements to bolster their chances of winning their tenth title.
Were who is the club’s all time top goalscorer first signed for ZESCO United in 2016 from the Kenyan Premier League league side Tusker FC.
During his first stint, Were went on to win four league titles, two ABSA CUP Championships and two Charity Shield honours before his trophy-laden 5 years at ZESCO ended.
Jesse Were left ZESCO United as the all-time record goal scorer and the first player to score 100 goals for ZESCO.
In January 2022, Were joined Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club and contributed to their 7th place finish with his 14 goal contributions (8 goals and 6 assists).
