Janza: Injury kept Singuluma out of Malawi game

Chipolopolo striker Given Singuluma sat out today’s Zambia friendly match against Malawi due to a back injury.

Singuluma who plays for Congo side TP Mazembe sustained an injury in training in the build up to the match.

“Yes, he suffered a back injury yesterday and we had to look at him again today,” Janza said

“The back ache persisted so this is why he sat out the game today,” the Chipolopolo coach explained.

Singuluma was part of the team but that played Malawi but when his colleagues came out to warm-up, he cut a lone figure on the bench as he watched his colleagues go through the paces.

He has been a key member of the Zambia national team under Janza and was key in Zambia’s qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Chipolopolo Boys were on the winning end when they beat Malawi 2 – 0 in an international friendly played at Nkoloma stadium.

  1. Guys it’s about time Rodgers kola is given a chance to play for zambia. The boy is doing well just saw his latest goal.

  2. @john,we need Roger Kola, fwayo Tembo and possibly jacob mulenga then our strike force would have been sorted out.The other area is number 8 where we seem to have failled to find a suitable replacement for isaac chansa.you will also notice that from the time isaac was dropped, nathan sinkalas form has dropped just as sunzu has without hichani.

  3. we need away friendly games, so that we see how Zambia will perform because we are good at home bt when we play away its another thing, even to a minor teams.
