IT’S COMING HOME!

COMMENTARY: Hello Lightning seeds! Would you please allow us to remix your lyrics from ‘Its coming home’ to CAF football is coming home in Choma; Zambia topflight football is coming home, in Livingstone?

Thanks for your permission.

Hello there! watch as we serenade, because: We still believe, we still believe. It’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming. [Continental/Super league]  Football’s coming home, it’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming.

We still believe Continental football is coming home. Al Ahly, Zamalek, TP Mazambe, Orlando Pirates, Young Africa, Enyimba and whatnot are coming to Choma in Southern province.

We believe topflight is coming home. Zesco United, Nkana, Zanaco and whatnot are coming to the Victoria Falls in Livingstone. Not as pre-season tourists but to play football competitively.

Yes, we still believe because Green Eagles keeps on soaring to the level rarely seen. We believe because quietly Maramba Stars have pulled out all the stops, finding their way up to the top.

‘Imagination of unrealities’

All our dreams have become a reality. Local fans in Choma can now see Dennis Onyango in flesh and blood. In Livingstone fans have a rare opportunity of taking selfies with Lazarus Kambole, the world record time hat-trick scorer in the Champions league.

Aggrey Chiyengi shaking hands with Micho as the zero hour approaches to the Green Eagles, Orlando Pirates kick off here at Independence Stadium in Choma. Referee Bakary Gassama from Gambia is in charge of the proceedings.

Bupe Chewe comes forth to greet Danny Kabwe ahead of Maramba Stars versus Lusaka Dynamos kick off. Acclaimed and World Cup referee Janny Sikazwe will get us underway in few seconds.

Spencer Sautu beats Augustine Mulenga to a loose ball and quickly releases the ball to Tapson Kaseba who is later on brought down inside the area by the Buccaneers’ shot-stopper. The referee points to the spot. Penalty for Green Eagles. Boy oh boy!

Meanwhile, in Livingstone it’s nil-nil between Maramba Stars and Zesco United. Super league newbies Maramba Stars have been charming thus far against the defending Champions to compound an impressive opening 10-minutes.

‘Returning to the crux of Commentary’

We still believe, we still believe. It’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming. [Continental/Super league] Football’s coming home, it’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming.
