Chipolopolo winger Lameck Banda capped another fine performance with a goal in Lecce’s 1-1 draw against Empoli in the Italian Serie A.
Banda was lively from the word go with his trickery on the left wing giving the Empoli defence problems every time he was on the ball.
Banda came close late in the second half with a powerful shot only for Etrit Berisha to make a good save.
The Zambian international broke the deadlock however in the second half as his speculative long-range powerful shot went through the legs of Berisha.
An own goal from an unfortunate Hamza Rafia seven minutes later had Empoli back in the game.
Lecce also had Italian goalkeeper Falcone to thank for not conceding more goals thanks to his saves.
The goal is Banda’s second goal of the season in the league. He has also assisted three goals.
