In-form Lameck Banda promises hard work

Italian Serie A ™ livewire Lameck Banda says he is working very hard so that he can help the National team achieve something.

Banda has been a defender’s nightmare since his switch to Serie A side US Lecce as he is in the top 5 best dribblers in the League.

Banda now wants to transfer that club form to the National team starting with the International Friendly match against Israel.

“Am working very hard, I Am learning my game and learning Italian football now so I want to keep working hard and push not only at my club but also for the National team so that we can achieve something,” he said.

Banda opened his goal account for Lecce over the weekend and the former Nkwazi player says it was a dream come true to score in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

“It was amazing, It was like a dream, scoring in a top league like Serie A ™. It was very important for me and I just want to keep working hard,” he said.

“I want to keep pushing and working hard for my country since my focus is now just on Thursday’s game.”

The match will kick off at 20H00 CAT at the Hamosheva Stadium and is expected to be live on Supersport.

The match is being used as part of preparations for the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Lesotho in March next year.
