Leicester City Manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy says Patson Daka has a lot of potential to develop.
Daka was on target on Tuesday as Leicester City beat West Ham 3-1.
The former Manchester United interim manager revealed that monitored the Zambian foward’s progress at Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
The 26 year old scored 54 goals in 82 appearances for the Austrian giants.
“I think he’s probably the player I have seen the most of, also, at a young age, when he was at Salzburg, I was already following him,” Ruud said
“I was interested in him when I was PSV manager, to be honest.”
“I think he has great potential, that’s what he showed in Austria, scoring a lot of goals and assisting a lot.
Daka spent four seasons at Red Bull Salzburg before joining Leicester City in 2021.
He has scored 17 goals in 76 appearances for the Foxes.
“It’s something that I saw in him. He’s only going to get better. Developing him on a daily basis, he’s got a lot of potential.
