HEATED NAPSA-CIRCUIT GAME ENDS IN A STALEMATE

It was a very heated affair at Edwin Imboela stadium which saw impressive Circuit City draw against Napsa Stars. The match had high levels of indiscipline and recorded five yellow cards and two red card.

Circuit City were a better side of the two teams as they continuously put pressure on the pensioners defense and in the 35th minute the pressure paid off for City through Dominic Chanda opened the scoring from a set piece.

City went to the break with a 1-nil lead, right after the interval, Napsa stars were awarded a penalty when striker Laudit Mavungo was brought down in the area and he took the resultant penalty expertly sending the goalkeeper in the wrong direction for an equalizerin the 48th minute.

The drama did not end there, in the 53rd minute Circuit City Albert Ngosa was sent for an early shower when he was sent off for a reckless tackle but Napsa did not take advantage of the numerical difference.

Austin Banda who came on in the 53rd minute for Napsa was too shown a red card in 78th minute for retaliation and charging on Circuit City player.

Napsa did no play so well in the whole 90 minutes, they allowed City to hold much of the ball and dictate play, that gave Circuit confidence to pass the ball round. Napsa stars struggled to copy with the pace at which “tatusha boys” moved the ball at.
