Zambia Under-20 Women National team coach Charles Haalubono has expressed his joy after his side went past eSwatini with a 4-nil scoreline in the COSAFA Women championship taking place in South Africa.

Maylan Mulenga scored a brace, Mary Mambwe and an own goal from captain Ncedo Gamedze completed the scoring, speaking to the media, Haluboono said,
“we had good coordination and played according to instructions, second half became more like an individual play now, we stopped coordinating.”

He also talked about how this win will give the girls confidence going forward the tournament, “it gives us confidence and also this game has been an eye opener me because have been with this team for only a month now, so it has give me a clear picture of how they can play and the area we are suppose to touch on so that they can improve.”
While is counterpart Friday Myeni blamed the loss on the suspension of key players, ”
“it was a good game for them Zambia, on our side mainly i think that we were unfortunate by some suspensions of the key players which basically disturbed the whole plan as we were preparing to come here I mean some of the key players we set our play around were not there especially in the midfield.”
The Copper Queens will be back on the field of play on Sunday against Botswana, the match will kick off at 11 hours.
