The conduct by Buildcon to start forfeiting matches at this crucial stage of the season does not only undermine the integrity of our Super League but it violates the principles of fair play.
It is imperative that such an incident where the team fails to pitch up for a Super League fixture like they did against Kansanshi Dynamos on Sunday does not occur in their next five fixtures.
Each of Buildcon’s next five opponents has something significant to play for this season, whether it’s avoiding relegation, contending for the title, or securing a spot in continental competitions.
These, five teams; Kabwe Warriors, MUZA, Zanaco, Green Buffaloes and Chambishi should be given the opportunity to earn their points on the pitch.
Getting free three points and goals in the title race or chase for survival while others are toiling for points on the pitch can turn the season on its head.
