Week Two of the Super League (Stream in Choma sees Green Eagles hosting Kitwe giants Power Dynamos at the Independence Stadium. Green Eagles who started on a losing note in Ndola at the hands of Forest Rangers who beat them by a lone goal courtesy of Austin Muwowo.
Power Dynamos who started on wining note against MUZA FC, whom they beat 2-0, will be hoping to continue with a perfect start in the away fixtures. Power dynamos have struggled to collect maximum points against Eagles at the Choma Independence Stadium.
The game promises a lot of excitement for the fans as two teams with different forms head into the weekend seeking points. Last season Eagles beat Power by a lone goal in Choma.
Aggrey Chiyangi is likely to maintain the same team that played against Forest Rangers with only two changes expected as goalkeeper Justin Munyikwa is out nursing an injury.
In defence, Mateo Ndashe, Gift Wamundila will be expected to partner with Boniface Sunzu in central defence as Collins Mulenga will fancy is chances in the starting lineup on the left side of defence.
The midfield set up will see captain Ceasar Hakaluba in the thick of things alongside Samson Chilupe. The trickery of Spencer Sautu will be required to come to the fore on the right wing, with the opposite wing having Amity Shamende.
Upfront, Edward Mwamba will miss due to injury giving chance Shadreck Mulungwe to compete for a place in the starting line up with returnee striker Tapson Kaseba and former Nkana forward Ronald Chibwe as other options.
Meanwhile Power Dynamos who are already in Choma ahead of tomorrow’s encounter have travelled with three goalkeepers, Lawrence Mulenga, the experienced Joshua Titima and 2018 Young Player of the Year, Jackson Kakunta.
Zimbabwe international defender, Jimmy Dzingai who scored the opening goal in Saturday’s encounter has travelled with the team. Other defenders are Allan Kamwanga Jnr, Mwelwa Sakala, Luka Chamanga, Bokadila, John Soko and Kondwani Chiboni.
In midfield, the genius of Larry Bwalya will be needed to come to the fore as well the impressive Godfrey Ngwenya will need to come to the part as coach Kelvin aims to collect maximum points. New signee Clifford Saidi has also made the team coming in to replace Fred Mulambia. The rest of the midfield contingent includes Benson Sakala, Lameck Kafwaya, Linos Makwaza and Kingsley Mukuka.
Coach Kelvin Kaindu has kept faith in the striking force, with goal-getter Martin Kayuwa making the cut, as well as Kenyan international Elvis Rupia together with former Zanaco young forward Dave Daka
Green Eagles will tomorrow (Saturday) take on Power Dynamos at 15:00Hrs at the Independence Stadium in Choma.
