Title chansing Power Dynamos were on Saturday afternoon beaten 1 – 0 by Green Eagles in one of the two Super League match played on the day.
The third placed team were looking to go second with a win in Choma but they went down as early as the 2nd minute when Adamson Mulao put the hosts ahead.
Despite relentless pressure from the Kitwe side, the Choma based Eagles were strong in defense and held on to the end.
The result sees Eagles Eagles move into 13th position as they overtake Nchanga Rangers who will now occupy the last safe place on the log.
This was the first win for Eagles in the last five games they have played.
Power Dynamos remain on 52 points, 9 behind leaders Zanaco.
In the other game of the day, there was a win away from home by relegation threatened Lusaka Dynamos when they beat Nakambala Leopards.
The only goal of the match was scored in the second half.
Despite the win, Lusaka Dynamos remain in the relegation zone but move one place up into 15th position on 29 points.
Nakambala remain stuck in 10th position.
