Wednesday afternoon saw yet another draw recorded at the Choma’s Independence Stadium as Green Eagles and Sensational ZANACO failed to break the deadlock after 90 minutes of football
Eagles welcomed the Bankers with hopes of recording a first win at home this season having lost the first match at home to Buildcon and a recorded a draw against Lusaka Dynamos while Zanaco were in search of their first win of the season as they had gone two games this season without a point.
Green Eagles head coach Aggrey Chiyangi rued misses chances but was happy with the number of chances created by his team.
“It was a tough game the only thing is that when you play home you have to push hard and win but the goodness is that we created chances but the only challenge was to score. The challenge is scoring, but if only we can score it can make a difference but overall there is a lot of improvement between the first games we played and this one,” Chiyangi told the ZamFoot Crew.
Meanwhile, the Bankers head Coach Kelvin Kaindu regarded the draw as a positive result for his team despite his side being denied a penalty in the dying minutes of the match.
“We thank God for a point it has never been easy to play Eagles at their home ground but today despite a,0-0 scoreline I think will take it as a positive despite not being given what we thought was a penalty but I think we could have done better for 3 points,” he said.
