Green Buffaloes win relegates Kansanshi and Prison Leopards

Kansanshi Dynamos and Prison Leopards have been relegated to the FAZ National Division One League joining Trident FC.

This follows Green Buffaloes’ 1-0 win over Forest Rangers on Sunday afternoon at Edwin Imboela Stadium.

Chilimba Moonga scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute to seal a win and confirm the Zambia army sponsored outfit’s safety.

The win takes Green Buffaloes to 41 points while Forest Rangers remain on 39 points.

With that win, The Mabanga Boys and the Collect Boys’ stay in the Super League came to an end as they joined Trident FC as the relegated teams and will be playing in the FAZ National Division One next season.

Heading into the final match day, One slot remains for relegation with three teams still at risk of being relegated.

Konkola Blades are the team with the highest probability while both NAPSA Stars and Forest Rangers are also not safe though they only need a point to survive.

NAPSA Stars face Power Dynamos, Forest Rangers and Konkola Blades face relegated Kansanshi Dynamos and Prison Leopards respectively.

FULL-TIME: Green Buffaloes 1-0 Forest Rangers

(Chilimba Moonga 86’)
