Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club have returned to the summit of the FAZ Women’s Super Division following a 2-0 win over National Assembly.
Elite Ladies, Zanaco Ladies, Luyando Foundation Girls, ZISD and Green Eagles have all recorded wins.
Red Arrows have continued their poor run, losing their fourth game in a row.
Evarine Susan Katongo came off the bench to be the game changer for ZISD as she set up Lydia Shamalima for the opener.
Katongo started to control the game immediately she was introduced and ZISD started to create a lot more chances.
Lungowe Namasiku benefited off a Chiko Nkhoma mistake to double the lead minutes later. Gloria Stacey Mwewa pulled one back for the Airwomen but it was a little too late.
The win takes ZISD to 17 points and third on the log table.
At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club beat National Assembly 2-0.
First half goals from Lushomo Mweemba and Esther Banda gave the Zambia army sponsored outfit a comfortable win.
The win takes Green Buffaloes to 19 points and back at the summit with two games in hand.
At NASDEC, Elite Ladies made easy work of the Royal Girls, Queens Academy, beating them 4-0.
Xiomara Mapepa scored a brace while Saliya Mwanza and Elizabeth Mupeso scored a goal each. Mapepa has now scored seven goals in seven games.
At Sunset Stadium, Zanaco Ladies returned to winning ways as they beat YASA Queens 4-0 handing the Kalingalinga based side their first defeat since 29th October.
Marory Luwaya scored a brace while Esther Muchinga and Mercy Mwenya chipped in with a goal each.
Margaret Gondwe continued her goalscoring form as she helped Luyando Foundation Girls to their 2-1 win over Kabwe Celtic.
In Kitwe, Alice Chikoti’s lone strike was enough to hand Green Eagles a narrow win over Kamfisa Blue Eagles.
