Zambia national striker Lazarous Kambole says it was a great feeling to score on his debut.
Speaking on after he helped Zambia to a 3 – 1 win over Uganda in a game he scored a goal and provided an assist, Kambole the team still has a huge task ahead.
“First and fore most it was not easy match. We were prepared and winning the first match of the tournament was our plan and we have achieved it. It is great feeling, not for me but for all Zambians,” the Zesco United attacker said.
“It feels great to score on my senior debut. It wasn’t easy in the first 20 mins as we were not playing as a team but we did our best and controlled the game in second half and we got what we wanted.”
“This is just starting point, we have a hard task ahead,” he added.
He has carried his fine goal scoring form to the national team after scoring 10 times for Zesco United last season, before scoring in the CHAN pre-tournament practice games against Circuit City and Orlando Pirates.
The 23 year old was named the Total Man of the match.
