Avram Grant will not be in charge of the Cosafa squad next week.
According to the ZamFoot Crew sources at Football House, a local coach will take charge of the Chipolopolo Boys in South Africa.
“I think it’s only fair we start exposing the local coaches more to international football,” a ZamFoot Crew source said.
“We did the same last year.
Assistant coach Moses Sichone guided Zambia to a record seventh title last year.
Grant has since left for Europe and should be back in August ahead of the AFCON qualifiers in September.
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has also left his assistant coach Helman Makhelele to drill the Cosafa squad
Zambia is in group B alongside Kenya, Zimbabwe and Comoros.
The tournament will run from June 27 to July 7.
The Chipolopolo Boys will be eyeing for a third straight title.
