Grant shows his ruthless side after dropping Nsabata

Chipolopolo boss Avram Grant dropped Toaster Nsabata for CAF 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ivory Coast.

Having been the Israeli’s first choice goalkeeper in back to back games against Lesotho, the call surprised many.

It later emerged that Nsabata was ‘injured’but the ZamFoot Crew can reveal that the 29 year old goal was fit.

“He was fit not injured,” a ZamFoot Crew insider said

“The technical bench made the decision after both Lawrence Mulenga and Victor Chabu impressed.

Mulenga was handed his competitive debut and the Power Dynamos goalkeeper did not disappoint.

Meanwhile four other players joined Nsabata in the stands.

Trident second choice goalkeeper Francis Mwansa, Supersport United utility player Gamphani Lungu, Muza striker Andrew Phiri and Zesco United full back Samson M’kandawire failed to make the cut.
