Zambia Avram Grant is considering recalling Fashion Sakala and Cletus Chota Chama for the June internationals against Morocco and Tanzania, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
According to the ZamFoot Crew insiders, the Israeli is contemplating changing his mind following a backlash from fans for leaving out the influential duo.
“Don’t be shocked if both Fashion (Sakala) and Cletus (Chama) are recalled,” a ZamFoot Crew insider said.
“It’s still 50/50 but there are whispers around the corridors at Football House that Grant has heard the fans’ outcry.
Sakala is scoring goals for fun in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
The 27 year old has scored 19 league goals, only Cristiano Ronaldo and Alexandr Mitrovic have scored more goals than him.
For Chama, his omission from the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Morocco and Tanzania was initially duo to injury.
“Seems like the squad was announced without the coach checking if Triple C was fit or not.
Since the player has declared himself fit, there’s a possibility that he might join the team as well.
The coach need not make any U turn if there is a genuine & justifiable reason to exclude a player. However, ngati its clear from the technical bench and fellow coaches that this is personal then by all means let the play prove tge coach wrong…..
All we need is for Morrocco & Tanzania to be on their knees. Ba gwade , we need maximum points….
Players must do their best to remove any doubt from the coach.
