Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant says he hopes to see less long balls in MTN Super League.
The Israeli gaffer was speaking during a press conference held at Football House on Monday afternoon when asked about his views on the local league.
Grant was also quick to praise the league as competitive but feels a few things need to change especially the quality of pitches and style of play.
“The league is very competitive no doubt about it. There are things we need to improve. The pitches need to be good , we need to care more about the pitches. We need to put more emphasis on the education of coaches, not because they are not good but they need to know what’s new and what’s happening. But the quality of football, I hope to see less long balls, it’s not good for the strikers. There are things we can improve,” he said.
“First we need to work on the pitches, put more on the education of coaches and third change a little on the style of the game, it will help me also. I think we are using a lot of local players.”
