Grace Chanda starts life in Kazakhstan

Copper Queens forward Grace Chanda has started her life and settling in at her new home in Kazakhstan.

Chanda has joined fellow Copper Queen Prisca Chilufya at Shymkent based outfit, BIIK Kazygurt.

The former ZESCO Ndola Girls striker arrived yesterday and today watched Kazygurt thrash Young BIIK Academy 9-0 at the BIIK Sports Complex in a Champions Cup match.

Chilufya who is carrying a slight knock was introduced in the second half and scored a goal plus chipped in with an assist.

BIIK will has now shifted the attention to tomorrow’s semi-final clash against Oqzhetpse F.C.

Chanda is expected to make her debut soon. She is the fourth Zambian player to be on the books of BIIK after Misozi Zulu, Rachel Kundananji and Chilufya.

Chanda is also the latest Copper Queen to move abroad joining Barbra Banda, Margaret Belemu (China), Misozi Zulu, Hazel Nali (Turkey), Hellen Mubanga, Rachel Nachula and Rachel Kundananji (Spain).

Chanda is synonymous with scoring goals and was the top goalscorer in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifiers for Africa with eight goals. She also scored 86 goals in 26 games for ZESCO Ndola Girls in 2018.
