Government says it will increase funding to the Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- this year owing to various tournaments that the national teams are engaged in.
Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU says the allocation will surpass the K41 million given in May last year.
Speaking to ZNBC Sports News, NKANDU also appealed to FAZ to ensure that they mobilize their own resources so that Government can meet them halfway.
The Men’s Under 17 and 20 teams will be taking part in AFCON tournaments while the Chipolopolo resumes AFCON qualifiers in March with the Copper Queens set to take part in the Women’s FIFA world cup this year.
