Goodfellow Finance Limited, a leading Financial Solutions company, continues to show unwavering support for Zambian football. Known for their Fans player of the season initiative, the company has now extended its backing to the ABSA Cup, making a significant contribution.
As part of their involvement in the country’s only Cup Competition, Goodfellow Finance has purchased a total of 500 tickets. These tickets will be distributed among passionate football fans, supporters of the two competing clubs, and their valued customers. This initiative aims to actively participate in the growth and development of Zambian football.
Yesterday, the microfinance institution handed over 200 tickets (100 each) to the finalists, Forest Rangers and FC MUZA. These tickets will be given to their respective fans, allowing them to be part of this thrilling game.

We have previously launched various initiatives in this field, including the ongoing Fans Player of the Season Competition.
Today, we have gathered here with a specific purpose—to distribute 500 tickets for the prestigious ABSA Cup, the premier cup tournament in our country. The competing teams, FC MUZA and Forest Rangers, will each receive 100 tickets to distribute among their supporters. The remaining 300 tickets will be distributed to our valued customers and other passionate Zambian football fans. To ensure equal access, we have developed engaging giveaway quizzes that will be shared on our social media channels, in collaboration with our esteemed partners Bwezani Mbewe, Zambian Football, and ZamFoot,” stated Goodfellow Finance during the ticket handover.

Both Forest Rangers and FC MUZA expressed their gratitude to Goodfellow Finance Limited for this generous gesture, urging them to continue supporting the local game.
Furthermore, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) confirmed that the highly anticipated final match will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
In the semifinals, FC MUZA emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Trident, a team from the North Western Province. Forest Rangers, on the other hand, secured their spot in the final by defeating Power Dynamos, thanks to a late Cephas Mulombwa header.
The champions of this lucrative competition, with a prize pool of 4.4 million, will be awarded K700,000, while the runners-up will receive K350,000. Additional accolades include the Coach of the Tournament, Player of the Tournament, and Man of the Match awards, each worth K25,000. Two new awards, the Top Goalscorer and Golden Glove, have been introduced, with the winners of each receiving K25,000.
