“Goodfellow Finance Limited is delighted to announce its partnership with Zambian Football, recognizing our social responsibility within the vast football ecosystem in our country. We have previously launched various initiatives in this field, including the ongoing Fans Player of the Season Competition.
Today, we have gathered here with a specific purpose—to distribute 500 tickets for the prestigious ABSA Cup, the premier cup tournament in our country. The competing teams, FC MUZA and Forest Rangers, will each receive 100 tickets to distribute among their supporters. The remaining 300 tickets will be distributed to our valued customers and other passionate Zambian football fans. To ensure equal access, we have developed engaging giveaway quizzes that will be shared on our social media channels, in collaboration with our esteemed partners Bwezani Mbewe, Zambian Football, and ZamFoot,” stated Goodfellow Finance during the ticket handover.
“We are thrilled about this football event and aspire to undertake similar Social Responsibility Programs in the future. Let us join forces to make a difference and continue supporting the remarkable growth of football in Zambia,” they added.
Both Forest Rangers and FC MUZA expressed their gratitude to Goodfellow Finance Limited for this generous gesture, urging them to continue supporting the local game.
Furthermore, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) confirmed that the highly anticipated final match will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
In the semifinals, FC MUZA emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Trident, a team from the North Western Province. Forest Rangers, on the other hand, secured their spot in the final by defeating Power Dynamos, thanks to a late Cephas Mulombwa header.
