Frankie Musonda joins Chipolopolo camp

Scottish based defender Frankie Chisenga Musonda has joined the Chipolopolo Boys camp ahead of next month’s AFCON qualifiers.

Musonda arrived this afternoon from his base in Scotland. The Football Association of Zambia confirmed his arrival on their official Facebook page.

Musonda is among the 23 Bullets coach Aljosa Asanovic has summoned for the Qualifiers.

“He is finally here! Frankie Chisenga Musonda has landed and immediately headed to the Chipolopolo camp. Well come home!”

Frankie Musonda who was born in Bedford, England from a Zambian father, and an English mother was cleared last week by Government approving his Citizenship and issuing him a Zambian Passport.

Aljosa Asanovic’s men will start their campaign with an away fixture against the 2015 Champions, Ivory Coast on June 3rd.

The 2012 AFCON Champions will then host Comoros on June 7th at the National Heroes Stadium.

  1. I know my ame says Positive Thinking, but this squad has holes. We need another solid center back and also an effective defensive midfielder.

    Mwepu is more effective operating in a more forward role, I do not see this working if we try to put him in that position in front of the back 4. He usually ends up getting yellow carded and he is also coming from an injury.

    WE will need that coverage in the midfield if you are dealing with the likes of Kessie and Seri in the middle. Then you also have to worry about being pulled wide by Pepe and/or Zaha.

    Let’s just say I’m worried. Also, why no Clatous Chama?

    I will continue my campaign for Sunzu and Mweene to be included. Someone honestly needs to explain why they are not in the squad
