Forest to announce Bakala as coach this week

Zambian Super League side Forest Rangers is set to announce Ian Bakala as the new head coach, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

The Ndola side have been hunting for a new coach since Tenant Chembo was sacked on January 19, 2022.

Bakala was also shown the exit door two months ago at Kabwe Warriors as he was replaced by Chris Kaunda.

The former Zambia international midfielder will be looking to rejuvenate Fole Malembe’s season.

Lumwana Radiants coach Bilton Musonda has also been linked with the job at Forest.

Dominic Changwe has only recorded one victory since his took over from TC

The 2004 Coca Cola Cup Champions are have only picked up a two wins from their last 12 matches.

Forest are currently 11th on the log with 31 points. They have drawn 13 games with 6 wins and draws.

Since the departure of Chembo, Dominic Changwe has been in-charge of the team in a care taker role.

Chembo was been assisted by Bakala’s former international teammate Francis ‘Mr Reliable’ Kasonde.
