FAZ Women’s League: Indeni go top, wins for Eagles, YASA, ZESCO, Queens and ZISD 

Indeni Roses have moved to the summit of the log following an impressive 2-0 win over Nkwazi Queens while Luyando Foundation Girls and Elite Ladies succumbed to losses. 

Goals from veteran Noria Sosala and Norin Betani gave Indeni a comfortable 2-0 win to send them to the summit of the FAZ Women’s Super Division log table. 

The win takes Indeni to 16 points leapfrogging Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club. 

Red Arrows suffered their third straight loss after the Royal Girls, Queens Academy edged them 1-0 thanks to a Jackline Masenke lone goal. 

At Hospice, YASA Queens came from a goal down to beat Elite Ladies 2-1. Josephine Nyondo put the visitors in the lead in the 22nd minute. 

YASA then came back from the break looking to turn things around, Botswana forward Thanda Onnielle Mokgabo levelled matters before Eunice Bwalya could steal the same winner at the death. 

At Shamuel Ground, ZESCO Ndola Girls returned to winning ways as they beat Luyando Foundation Girls 4-1. 

Elsewhere ZISD beat National Assembly 4-1 while Zanaco Ladies suffered a 2-0 loss away to Green Eagles thanks to a Rachel Moono brace. 

Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club’s game with Police Dove Queens was postponed to a later date.
