Green Buffaloes Women Football Club was on Saturday, officially crowned as champions of the Inaugural 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League after their 2-0 victory over YASA Queens in a match week 26 played at Lusaka’s Sunset Stadium.
Two second-half goals from super substitute Lucy Kajiya and Natasha Nanyangwe who turned from first goal assister to scoring for her own was enough to ensure an impressive end to the season by the Zambia Army-sponsored side headed by Coach of the season Charles Haluboono as they edged the Stubborn YASA 2-0.
Before the kick-off of the match, YASA who were the hosts treated Buffaloes to a Guard of Honor and after the match, they were crowned champions, presented with medals and a trophy and that was proceeded with an excellent escort by the Military Police who were driven around the city of Lusaka in celebratory moments.

Elsewhere, Donaria Simaundu scored the only goal of the game to hand National Assembly a huge 1-0 win over Lusaka Dynamos Ladies.
Esther Mushota’s strike was enough to hand Indeni Roses a 1-0 win over Queens Academy. Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) Queens failed to travel to Solwezi hence Police Doves Queens won via a walkover.
ZESCO Ndola Girls sealed their third place finish with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Nkana Queens.
Majory Mulenga and Penelope Mulubwa scored a brace each while Avell Chitundu chipped in with a goal.
In Mufulira, Wanderers Queens recorded their fifth win of the season as they edged ZISD Queens 2-0 thanks to goals from Beauty Kasonde and Regina Kayamboma.
