Queens Academy has bounced back to winning ways after they silenced Nkwazi Queens 2-0 this morning in a week 10 encounter of the 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League played at Lusaka’s Edwin Imboela Stadium.
A goal each from Lillian Mwaba and Agnes Phiri was enough to hand the Coach Jackson Katoba and Naomi Phiri drilled lasses a well deserved 2-nil victory and a maximum of 3 points and they will be hoping to add the cherry on the cake when they visit Police Dove Queens in a midweek tricky tie in Solwezi.
This victory has meant that Queens Academy has gone up on the log standing from 9th position to 6th position sharing the same number of points with Indeni Roses (13) who are in 5th position but only separated on goal difference.
Queens Academy’s next assignment is on Wednesday 19th May 2021 against Police Dove Queens in Solwezi while Nkwazi Queens will hope to redeem themselves when they take a short trip to Bauleni to lock horns with Giant Killers BUSA Queens who are in high spirits after yesterday’s 2-1 victory over National Assembly with the goals courtesy of Salome Phiri and Elizabeth Lubasha while Assembly found the back of the net through Florence Tembo.
Week 10 action continues this afternoon with two mouthwatering encounters set to kick-off at 15:00hrs.
In Lusaka at Hospice Grounds, draw specialists YASA Queens will welcome The Elite Lusaka Dynamos while Indeni Roses will travel to Mufulira to face Mufulira Wanderers with the new coach Wisdom Kaira expected to start his new journey with the Roses on a high note.
