The 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League enters Week 6 this midweek with yet another great round-up of fixtures expected across the country.
Log leaders Green Buffaloes will have a tricky tie against Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) Queens at home in one of the most interesting fixtures to look out for tomorrow.
Buffaloes are going into this match coming from a frustrating 1-1 draw away to Queens Academy and they will be hoping to make amends in this match, but coming up against BUSA Queens won’t be an easy walk in the park, and expectations from both sides are very high.
The last two times between these two sides both managed a single win each so a good game awaits at the Green Square Grounds.
Nkwazi Queens will take their first long trip in this campaign with an intriguing encounter against Zesco Ndola Girls at the Trade Fair Grounds.
Both sides recorded draws in their previous matches with Nkwazi being held to a goalless draw by YASA Queens while Zesco settled for a similar scoreline away to National Assembly so it will be all systems go as the battle of 4th and 5th place is what awaits us in this tie.
Elsewhere, Indeni Roses will take a short trip to Kitwe to lock horns with Nkana Queens who have been struggling to pick up maximum points in the league and they are yet to record a win while the Roses have enjoyed a fantastic form despite suffering a painful 1-nil defeat to Lusaka Dynamos.
The Oilo Ladies will however be without their captain Esther ‘Onga’ Mukwasa who has been in excellent form as she has been called for camp with the senior women’s national team so Coach Benson Chambeshi will have to switch to another plan while The Red Queens will be aiming to push for their first victory in this match which on paper is a huge mountain for them to climb.
Tail bearers, Zambia Institute for Sustainable Development (ZISD) Women’s team will face an uphill battle when they host Red Arrows Women Football Club at The Old Independence Stadium.
ZISD has only a point to their name in as many matches as they have played while Arrows also haven’t been convincing so far in their last 2 games which they have played both ending in draws and they have two games in hand against Lusaka Dynamos and Police Dove Queens.
Both sides will be hoping for a positive result in this match.
At the Hospice Ground in Lusaka, draw specialists YASA Queens will welcome rejuvenated Queens Academy who is coming from back-to-back positive results with 2 successive wins and a draw in their last 3 games while YASA has recorded 4 draws in their last 4 matches.
Mufulira Wanderers will be at Shinde Stadium playing host to National Assembly who is also draw specialists as they have drawn 4 games out of 5 which they have played so far in the league.
Wanderers will be hoping to redeem themselves after a disappointing 3-2 loss away to Police Dove Queens while The Parliamentarians will be fighting for their first victory this season.
The Mighty Ladies are also in search of their first home victory so a lot is at stake in this match.
