Football Association of Zambia, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has said his association wants to reinforce the Copper Queens technical bench.
Following Zambia’s 2-1 home defeat to Morocco in the first leg of the final of round of Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier, there has been an outcry from the fans on the possibility of reinforcing the Bruce Mwape led technical bench.
“From where we stand as FAZ, the issue of the technical bench is a matter we have been looking at.
“We will have the opportunity to evaluate the performance of the technical bench after these Olympics qualifiers,” Kamanga has been quoted by Micheal Miyobab
“We will be looking to reinforce the technical bench because the team has already qualified for the next Women’s Africa Cup.

“The last one they did well and came out third and even qualified for the World Cup,” FAZ Chief Andrew Kamanga said.
“If you remember when going to the World Cup we played some high profile matches against Ireland, Switzerland and Germany.
“We also reinforced the bench by bringing in a technical adviser but of course for the next WAFCON we need to go a notch higher which is better than the third position we finished last time so if we are aiming to attain that level we also have to make sure that the technical bench as well as the players are adequately prepared for the task ahead,” he said.
The Copper Queens face Morocco on Tuesday in Rabat in the second leg.

Please we just need an expatriate coach like Nora Hauptle. Bruce Mwape can still handle the under 20 while also learning from an expatriate. Our girls are now much higher in level than their coach. WE NEED AN EXPARTRIATE PERMANENT COACH BEFORE OLYMPICS AND WAFCON. BA FAZ also you are too slow to see things. I bleed for our female players being denied chances being noticed at big tournaments to go as professionals due to poor match planning by the head coach.
Very very to the point
yes it’s fine the Coach is done at her level let another work
Copper will loose tactically again
All we want is to change the Coach together with the technical bench that so.
Our technical bench is sleeping ba faz what is happening? Starting from team doctors they can’t even run ,at point when the assistant coach was in charge we could see movements from the bench but ba Bruce awe mwandi u can faint
Kananga doesn’t mean well for Zambian football. Both for men and women’s Teams. Why keep mwape and grant? Grant should be advisor to sichone while Bruce should be assigned the role of talent identification or better Technical advisor as well. Why is it difficult for FAZ to make such decisions?
😂🤣🤣🤣 Bruce Mwape a technical whaaat ?
This man was just schooled by the Ghanian coach in his backyard and only has the brilliance of a player to thank because Barbra Banda saved him from further humiliation.
Right now he is being schooled by the Morocco’s coach for the third time with two sets of players (spanish & now Morroccon players).
In all the three games Mwape has shown NO TECHNICAL AWARENESS! Confirming what the GHANA ‘S coach rightly pointed out while admiring the wealth of talent at his disposal.
Both grant & Mwape same difference. Na ba grant atleast you can see a team forming coz of his hand. Manje aba ba tata
Just fire this coach together with his technical team. Nichani kansi lol fire the guy. Clearly he is not adding any value.
The Ghanian coach exposed him hands down.
The Morroccon coach schooled him with two different sets of players.
Tonight we shall just realise once more that win or lose its the player’s individual efforts and that the technical bench and the coach just tag along…
Ok to be honest our ladies coach Bruce Mwape has done his part and he’s stay at that position is long over due…We appreciate him so much but it’s time we tried an expatriate coach like that one from Ghana national team.(ladies of course).
