Fathi granted Compassionate leave

NAPSA Stars head coach Mohamed Fathi has been granted Compassionate leave, The club has confirmed.

Fathi who lost his father last month has been granted compassionate leave for an unspecified period according to a statement by NAPSA Media and Public Relations Officer Gwen Mulundu Chipasula availed to the ZamFoot Crew.

“THE Board and Secretariat of NAPSA Stars Football Club wishes to announce that the club has granted its head Coach Mr. Mohamed Fathi permission to take compassionate leave. Coach Fathi lost his father in February back home in Egypt, and has not had time to be with his family during that difficult period.”

NAPSA General Secretary/Technical Director Mr. Honour Janza who confirmed the development said the club believes it was best that the coach took time off to be with family.

“Our coach suffered a family bereavement last month and we believe he should take some time away from the club to be with his family,” Janza said.

Former Kabwe Warriors boss Kapamba Chintu who is Fathi’s assistant coach will take over in an interim capacity during coach Fathi’s absence.

The first task for Chintu will be taking charge of the Pensioners during their second CAF Confederation Cup tie against Algerian side JS Kabilye on Wednesday at the National Heroes Stadium.
