Fashion Sakala’s Rangers draw Sporting Braga

Fashion Sakala and his FC Rangers’ teammates will face Portuguese side, Sporting Braga in the quarter final of the Europa League.

Rangers beat Red Star Belgrade in the round of 16 to progress to the quarter finals.

The Zambian international is still searching for his first goal in the Competition. He has played just over 124 minutes spread over six games.

“Braga are a strong side. It’s always hard to play against Portuguese teams. They were in the same group as Red Star so we have already seen their games against them,” Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst said.

Sakala has scored ten goals and made two assists in his 36 appearances in all competitions since his arrival in Scotland.

The Scottish champions will face either German club RB Leipzig or Atalanta of Italy if they reach the semi-finals.

The two-legged quarter-finals will take place on 7 and 14 April with the semi-finals on 28 April and 5 May.
