The KustBoys went through their paces under the watchful eye of new head coach Alexander Blessin who is a former RB Leipzig youth coach.
The 2019/2020 season of the Belgian Pro League was cancelled in April and Club Brugge was declared champions with one round of matches left to be played.
Oostende survived by a whisker as they were just two points above Waasland-Beveren who were bottom of the log at the time of the cancellation and were relegated to the Belgian First Division B.
Oostende will have their first friendly match on Saturday July 4th in Varsenare. The match will take place behind closed doors because of the COVID 19 epidemic.
