Zambia U20 Women’s national team head coach Charles Haluboono has named a strong 28-member provisional squad for the FIFA 2020 World Cup preliminary round qualifier against South Africa next month.
Luyando Foundation starlet Everine Suzeni Katongo leads the provisional squad according to a list provided to the ZamFoot Crew. The squad is a blend of the COSAFA U20 silver medalists and some standout performers from the trials that were conducted recently.
Nkwazi forward Towera Nkhata has also been roped in as Haluboono looks to leave no stone unturned ahead of the match up with South Africa.
The winner between Zambia and South Africa will face either Namibia or Botswana in the next round with two more rounds looming after that.
Zambia hosts South Africa on the weekend of January 17-19 with the return leg slated for the window of January 31-February 2.
