Zambian forward Evans Kangwa underwent successful surgery on his thigh on Monday.
Kangwa underwent surgery to sort out his Adductor Muscle which was causing him ‘significant’ pain since November.
The Shamuel Academy proprietor is expected to be out for two months.
Kangwa confirmed that the surgery was successful and thanked the fans for their overwhelming messages of goodwill.
“Thank you all for your goodwill messages, the surgery was a success. Recovery now follows as I look to work my way back on the pitch..
On another important point I can’t wait to watch the lads this Friday & hopefully at Heroes Stadium on the 7th.. Let’s all turn up in numbers and give Chipolopolo the much needed support.
Thank you once more for your prayers and messages of support. God bless.”

The injury knocked Kangwa out of the Chipolopolo squad that is currently in Accra, Ghana preparing for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
Zambia opens its Group H account on Friday away to Ivory Coast in Yamoussoukro before hosting Comoros Islands four days later in Lusaka at National Heroes Stadium.
