England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 | Daka substituted at half time as Leicester losing streak continues

Patson Daka featured in Leicester City’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Monday in an English Premier League match.

The Zambian forward started upfront alongside veteran striker Jamie Vardy but was withdrawn at half time.

A first-half brace from Jacob Murphy, alongside Harvey Barnes’ goal on his return to Filbert Way, saw Newcastle United emerge as 3-0 victors on Monday evening.

All the damage was done in the first half, with the visitors lethal in front of goal during a blistering opening 45 minutes at King Power Stadium which Leicester never recovered from.

A warm reception greeted 15-year-old Jeremy Monga on 74 minutes, meanwhile, as the youngster, who’s been with the Club’s Academy since the Under-9s, made his debut – the second youngest LCFC player to do so.

The gap to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 17th now stands at 15 points with seven matches remaining; the first of which, a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion’s AMEX Stadium, awaits for the Foxes on Saturday.

The loss was the Foxes 22nd in 31 games and they have become the first side in football league history to lose eight consecutive home league games without scoring a goal.

  1. He unfortunately needs to move clubs. I like that Ruud is showing faith in him, but according to reports; the Leicester fans are over it and are even booing him. He is a talented striker who under the right circumstances (manager, team, support system) can be absolutely world class. I mean, even Vardy is having it rough right now.
