The 2021 ABSA Cup had a dramatic start with penalty shootouts deciding three of the four encounters.
With K600,000 at stake teams and players are putting in their very best to reach the final and possibly win the tournament. There is a saying that goals win you games, hence strikers are given the task to score as many goals as they can.
Now let’s look at players who could emerge as the top goalscorer of the competition as they aim to help their team to lift the lucrative ABSA Cup.
Emmanuel Mwaba- The Konkola Blades hitman has already hit double numbers in the FAZ/Eden University National Division One and he is quite deadly in front of goal.

Mwaba was on target in the quarter-finals as sharp blades cut down ‘the Forest’ in the quarter-finals.
Moses Phiri- The Chipolopolo striker is known for his blistering pace, quick feet, and knack for scoring beautiful goals.
‘The Moses of our time’ has already found the back of the net once in the competition so far but you can’t put it past him to add a few more before the end of the Competition.
Collins Sikombe- The Chipolopolo midfielder has a way of finding the back of the net. He is yet to score in the Competition but with the semifinals coming up in less than three months, It’s an opportunity for him to get back to his scoring ways.
Enock Sakala Jnr- The young striker is approving to be a great talent with a great eye for goal.

Sakala is yet to find the back of the net in the Competition but given his prowess, anything is possible with this lad.
