Emmanuel Banda opened his Djurgadens IF goal account this afternoon as he headed home from a corner in the Stockholms stolthet’s 3-0 humiliation of Örebro away at the Behrn Arena.
The former Nchanga Rangers midfield ace who started his third match for Djurgadens headed home Aslak Fonn Witry’swell-takenn corner to put the visitors in the lead just before half time with his first goal in the Djurgadenscolours.

Banda put in a good 80 minutes shift before being withdrawn for Edward Chilufya who was returning from injury. Djurgadens doubled the lead in the 83rd minute as Nicklas Bärkroth shot from outside the box was deflected into the Örebro goal, 2-0.

Bärkroth then set up Edward Chilufya for a third. The Mphande Youth product got the ball a few meters from the box beat a defender before unleashing a venomous strike leaving Oscar Jansson in the host’s goal with no chance, 3-0 the match ended.

The win is a big motivation for Djurgadens ahead of their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round against Hungarian side Ferencvárosi TC on Wednesday.
