The Zambian midfielder has finally managed to make the Djurgadens IF 18-member matchday squad and can make his long-awaited Swedish Allsvenskan debut.
Banda joined the Swedish Champions back in February after terminating his contract with Belgium side KV Oostende but is yet to make his debut. He had injury issues but recovered two weeks ago and has finally made the matchday squad.

Compatriot Edward Chilufya limped off with a wounded thigh in Djurgadens 1-0 loss to Malmø FF and he is not ready to play hence misses out.
Coach Kim Bergstrand will fancy a win for his side as they are at home and host a team that’s at the bottom of the table with only a point to their name, Helsingborg.
The UEFA Champions League-bound, Djurgadens IF are hoping to get back to winning ways and record their third victory of the season. Kick-off at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm is 19:00hrs.

Greetings fellow Chipolopolo fans! It’s been a while since I posted as things continue to be crazy here in the USA. Good news from Sweden today where Emmanuel Banda played about 25 minutes for Djurgarden, who won the match. Djurgarden is slated to be in the Champions League qualifiers in a few months. I hope Edward Chilufya recovers from his injury soon so he can join Banda on the pitch. By the way, can someone give us an update on Chilufya’s injury and estimated recovery time? Thank you!
