Zambia national team Emmanuel Banda has joined Swedish Champions Djurgadens IF the club has confirmed.
The 22-year-old left Belgian side KV Oostende about a week ago after terminating his contract. He has since penned a three year deal with the Swedish outfit.
At Djurgadens Banda joins fellow 2017 U-20 AFCON winner Edward Chilufya.
Djurgardens qualified to the next UEFA Champions League after winning their league.
The former Nchanga Rangers player was a member of the Zambia team U-20 nation that won the 2017 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
During the Bola na Lesa Boys fantastic run, Banda is remembered for having scored a screamer in the 6-1 humiliation of Mali and the third goal in the 4-2 win over Iran at the World Cup.
