Chipolopolo winger Edward Chilufya is doubtful for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations after suffering a knee injury.
Chilufya last played a match last month when Zambia suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Niger.
According to his club FC Midtjylland, the 2017 U20 AFCON winner will only be back in January.
This means Chilufya will miss the two friendly matches against Bafana Bafana and Burundi as well as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations set for Morocco in December.
The Copper Bullets will play South Africa on November 15 before heading to Bujumbura to face Burundi three days later.
The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Morocco 2025 will take place between 21st December 2025 and 18th January 2026.
Zambia is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, West African giants Mali, and Comoros.
