The FAZ Women’s Super League will be entering only its week 4 if action today with a number of mouth watering encounters but the Golden boot race is already heating up.
Last season Maylan Mulenga walked away with the golden boot with 25 goals and she will be looking to win it back to back.
Mulenga has been joined by Florence Kasonde, Fridah Mukoma, Esther Mushota, Juliet Mulubwa, Avell Chitundu, and Christine Nyirongo as the early front-runners in the race for the top goalscorers award.
Trident Queens’ Florence Kasonde leads the charge with 3 goals scoring a brace in week one against Nkana Queens to lead the team to a 2-0 win.
Kasonde also netted a goal in week 3 as Trident Queens played to 1-1 draw with Police Dove Queens.
The Former Zambia U17 and YASA Queens forward is averaging a goal a game so far.
Meanwhile Esther Mushota of Trident Queens, Fridah Mukoma of Zesco Ndola Girls and her teammates Penelope Mulubwa and Avell Chitundu are on two goals.
Others on two goals are Christine Nyirongo of Yasa Queens, Police Dove Queens’ Edah Lungu, Juliet Mulubwa of Luyando Foundation Girls and Maylan Mulenga.
